Following government orders to cut government expenditure by 67% in view of coronavirus outbreak, development works of Zilla Parishad had been stalled.
However, development works will may get partial momentum after state rural development department has approved to do sanctioned works from the fund which has been received before March 31, 2020. As a result, the way to do development works in the financial yar 2019-20 has now been clear.
The department has issued an order regarding this on Thursday. To recover from financial crisis due to coronavirus outbreak, state finance department has put some restrictions on expenditure.
Only health, medical and aid and rehabilitation departments are allowed to spend their funds. In addition, disbursal of funds for various schemes have also been stopped. Zilla Parishad was affected by this decision.
Though it was being stated that concerned government order is for the financial year 2020-21, administration was not in a mood to hear. Finally, state rural development department has issued an order and has asked to do development works from the fund which has been received before March 31, 2020.
