Veterinary hospital to get digital X-ray machine
The district veterinary hospital at Ashok Stambh will very soon get the digital x-ray machine. The proposal of the same was submitted by the hospital earlier to the district collectorate. The collectorate has sanctioned the amount of Rs 10 lakh for the procurement of the machine. The veterinary hospital will get the machine as soon as the funds are transferred.
The officials said that the current x-ray machine is an old and outdated version. Especially, with the animals, it becomes difficult to take x-rays. The machine also gives a poor quality of x-ray.
The deputy commissioner of the veterinary hospital Dr Sanjay Visave informed that the digital machine will be very helpful for the hospital. The computerized system will immediately generate x-ray images. The x-ray can be accessed on the computer itself. It will also help to detect tumours, kidney problems, swelling and hairline fractures too.
The procurement of digital x-ray is supposed to ease the working of the hospital. Especially, in the case of critically injured animals, it will help to generate quick reports. The current machine takes about an hour to get the final x-ray. After the installation of the digital machine, it will be generated within minutes.
