Various programmes organised to mark Maharashtra Day


Nashik Road/ Deolali Camp : Various programmes were organised in Nashik Road area to mark Maharashtra Day.
Corporator Suryakant Lavate hoisted the tricolour at Nashik Road divisional NMC office. Corporator Jyoti Khole, divisional officer Somnath Wadekar, other officials and employees were present. Workers were felicitated.

Chief engineer Deepak Kumthekar hoisted the flag at main office of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. Officials and employees were present. Divisional Commissioner Eknath Davale hoisted the flag at divisional commissionerate. Additional Divisional Commissioner Jyotiba Patil, Deputy Divisional Commissioner Raghunath Gavade, Unmesh Mahajan, Sukdev Bankar, Nrusinh Mitragotri, Prakash Waghmode, tehsildar S D Mohite, Manjusha Ghadge, officials and employees from education, agriculture, public works department and groundwater survey department were also present.

Principal Dr. Ram Kulkarni hoisted the tricolour at Bytco college, Vice Principal Dr. D G Belgaonkar, Prof. Surendra Ghatpande, Prof. Sunil Joshi, Dr. Dilip Londhe and Prof. Vijay Sukte were present.

105 martyrs had sacrificed their lives during struggle by the then Marathi people for joint Maharashtra. As a result, Commission for state restructuring and the then Chief Minister Morarji Desai had retracted and gave his approval and joint Maharasthtra was formed on May 1, 1960, stated Principal Dr. Vijay Medhne.

He was speaking in a programme organised on Maharashtra Day and World Labour Day in SVKT college. Prof. Sunita Adke, Prof. Vilas Saidpatil, Prof. Vilas Korde, Prof. Sunil Aher, Prof. Daulat Shinde, Prof. Namdeo Kakad and non-teaching staff were present.

Dr. Medhne hoisted the flag. Prof. Sudhakar Pawar compered the programme, whereas Prof. Mahendra Pawar proposed the vote of thanks.

District RPI vice president Subhash Borade and president of youth wing of RPI Ravindra Gaikwad felicitated personnel from Deolali camp police station. NCP leader James Barnad, Vijay Gaikwad, Bipin Gangurde and others were present.

The tricolour was hoisted at Bhagur police station. Senior police inspector Vinayak Lohkare, Sampat Londhe, Sarde, Jadhav and others were present. President of senior citizens association Vitthalrao Khatle felicitated librarian of Kranti library on Lam Road Vandana Mali.
