Unified DCPR: NMC approves the construction plan online

NASHIK: Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has become the first Municipal Corporation in the state which approved the construction plan online under the new unified DCPR. The state government has implemented the Integrated Development Control and Promotion Rules (DCPR) in the state from December 3, 2020. According to the regulations, the government has developed computer systems in collaboration with MahaIT to approve new construction plans online.

Under this, a total of 18 places have been fixed on an experimental basis from all over the state. Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde, Principal Secretary Bhushan Gagrani, Director Nangnure, Joint Secretary and Director Shende, Joint Director Pratibha Bhadane and others provided their special guidance for the development of the new computer system.

The approval letter using the online system in the state was handed over to architect Ajit Kulkarni in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav, Joint Director (town planning) Pratibha Bhadane, Assistant Director Ankush Sonkamble and town planning department officials. In the past, NMC had approved proposals of residential building plans offline as per the new Unified Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR) that came into effect in December, 2020.

NMC had shut the Auto-DCR system and had started to receive proposals of residential building plans offline. All municipal corporations, councils and Nagar Panchayats (excluding Mumbai) have been brought under the ambit of the new rule. The state government has introduced new rules to bring uniformity in the width of roads, size of rooms, etc.
