Open tourist places to be closed: Bhujbal

NASHIK: Stating that attempts will be made to allow morning walks at open grounds and other places while informing that open tourist spots in urban and rural areas will be closed, Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said that the administration has been instructed to take care that there will be no crowd of devotees at Ramkund. He said at the Corona review meeting.

A huge crowd is gathering in the Agricultural Produce Market Committees of the district including Nashik. Social distancing is not being observed there. Masks are also not being used. This was discussed at the meet. The Guardian Minister had warned that if the rules are not followed, the market committees will have to be closed.

However, no decision was taken in this regard at the meeting. At present, there are 7,824 active patients in the district. A large number of patients are detected everyday. The highest number of 6,088 patients is in Nashik city alone. So far, 44.72 lakh people have taken the first dose of the vaccine (86 per cent). So far, 26 lakh people have taken both doses of the vaccine. He informed that 14,089 people have taken booster dose so far.
