Mandhare warns against rumour mongering : Routine life under new rules from today

With the release of new set of norms for the extended phase of the forth lockdown, which is coming into force effective today (May 22), the Nashikites are set for their new daily routine under the revised guidelines.

As per the new guidelines, district areas have been categorised into red and non-red zones for the purpose of allowing or restricting business and other activities in view of coronavirus pandemic.

In the meanwhile, district collector Suraj Mandhare has warned of strict action against rumour mongers for spreading falsehood. A case has been registered in Sarkarwada police station against an unknown person who made a message stating ‘Nashik bandh till May 31st’ viral on social media creating a panic among the netizens.

Mandhare added that there will be some relaxations under the new rules, but these will not be applicable for containment zones.

* Red zone: This is to remain open

– All shops under essential services
– Medical services
– Liquor shops and home delivery of liquor
– Standalone shops
– 1+2 in four wheeler vehicle and only one person allowed on a 2-wheeler bike
– Malls, restricted shops and other restricted establishments can continue to remain open from 9 am to 5 pm for cleaning purposes only
– Record and RTO offices also to remain open
– Only 5% staff to be allowed in universities, colleges for checking of exam answer sheets, declaration of results.

* Non-red zone: Revised rules

– Sports complexes, stadiums, open spaces will remain open for personalised exercise, No crowd is allowed.

– Inter-district bus service to operate with 50 per cent passenger capacity.

– All shops and markets will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm. But the local administration holds power for its closure if necessitated.
