Green signal by central govt for Nashik-Pune railway line

Central government gave its green signal for a proposal regarding Nashik-Pune railway line on the basis of some rules and conditions. MP Hemant Godse followed up the matter consistently to clear the proposal. As central government followed by central railway administration gave its nod this issue can be solved soon.

MP Godse was following up the matter with central and state governments to connect Nashik and Pune cities by railway route as Nashik-Pune and Mumbai is a golden triangle of the state. Central government gave its partial approval earlier for the route. MP Godse raised his voice over this in parliament two years ago and got sanctioned Rs 200 crore in financial budget for survey of the work.

There were discussions in detail over the proposal in the meeting of central railway board some months ago. The proposal had been approved partially on the basis of some rules and conditions. Railway board had made its observations on only 20% shares by state government in DPR of the proposal, surety of stamp duty by state government, requirement of various technical departments and observations for feasibility of the project, measures to make proposed railway line efficient for goods train and approval by J V Model and MCA department for success of the project.

The proposal was then sent to the central government for its approval. The proposal railway line project will incur around Rs 16000 crore. Of it, state and central governments will give 20% share each, while 60% expenditure will be made available from equality The issue of Nashik-Pune railway line will get solved soon due to positive stand by central government, stated MP Godse.
