Dry weather continues to prevail in city

In the absence of any significant weather system, the state has been witnessing dry weather conditions from the past few days. The days are warm with clear sky conditions, while the nights are cool and pleasant.

The minimum day temperature in the city has been hovering around 15.0 degree Celsius with a maximum of 34.0 degree Celsius for the past five days signalling a dry and warm weather condition ahead. The city yesterday recorded a minimum temperature of 15.9 degree Celsius with a Max of 34.0.

Compared to average minimum temperature, a significant rise in mercury level has been recorded in some parts of Konkan Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. Weather conditions continue to remain dry in parts of Konkan Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada from today (Monday) to Thursday, according to IMD, Pune.“Rains will be witnessed for tomorrow (Feb 24) at isolated places in Vidarbha region,” it added. Meanwhile, Malegaon recorded a minimum temperature of 17.8 degree Celsius, Aurangabad 17.5 and Jalgaon 18.0.

While Gondiya in the state remained coldest at 15.2 degree Celsius yesterday. According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over extreme Northeast Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh. Besides this, a trough is also seen running from central Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra.
