NASHIK: In the Asian Classic and Powerlifting Championship held in Istanbul, Turkey, Dr. Mithila Chavan won four gold and one silver medal in the 52 kg weight category. Asian Classic and Powerlifting Championships in Turkey was held from 24th to 30th December. She has done all the preparation and training for this competition at C4 Fitness Eye and has been trained by Yogesh Lokhande and Sanket Chavan.
Dr. Mithila won gold medals in all three categories – Benchpress, Deadlift, and Scott – at the Asian Classic and Powerlifting Championship. After that, adding up points in the overall competition, Mithila topped the list and won the fourth gold medal. Due to this achievement, the reputation of Nashik along with India has been greatly enhanced.
