Army jawan from Malegaon martyred on China border

NASHIK :

An Indian Army soldier from Nimgole Sakuri Zaap in Malegaon taluka of Nashik district was martyred on the Chinese border in Galwan Valley. The soldier, identified as Sachin Vikram More, is martyred while on duty at the Chinese border on Wednesday night.

Minister of State for Home Satej Patil on Thursday said that the Indian Army jawan lost his life while trying to save his colleagues who had fallen into a river along the India-China border in the Galwan Valley.

His body is expected to be brought to Pune by a special plane tonight. Later it will be taken to Nashik and then to his home town, on Saturday morning, military officials said while talking to his family, yesterday.

Sachin More has been serving in the Indian Army as an Engineer since the last 17 years And was posted on India-China border a year ago. The Galwan valley was the scene of a fierce clash between Indian and Chinese troops on June 15.
