NASHIK: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has launched an app for its consumers to pay the electricity bill online. Availing of these facilities, a total of 3,63,958 consumers from Malegaon and Nashik zones paid their bills online in the backdrop of Covid-19. MSEDCL has made available the website www. Mahadiscom.in to pay the bill online for the low-voltage category consumers.
In addition, the option to check current and previous electricity bills and to pay the bill online has been made available since June 2016. In addition, it has also made available the facility of net banking, credit/debit card, mobile wallet and cashcard to pay the bill. A 0.25% concession is being given to the low-voltage category consumers to pay the bill online.
The concession is being offered if consumers pay the bill using a credit card, debit card, UPI, BHIM app, net banking, mobile wallet and mobile banking option. After payment of electricity bill online, consumers are receiving SMS on their registered mobile number. In addition, details of electricity bills of the previous year and bill payment receipts are available on the MSEDCL website and mobile app.
A facility has also been made available to pay the electricity bill through RTGS or NEFT in case the electricity bill is over Rs 10,000. All the options to pay electricity bills for the low voltage category online have been made free of cost, except a credit card.
