A 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Lakhmapur village in Dindori taluka of the district on Friday.
Dattatraya Ramesh Shardul alias Banja (35) of Lakhmapur committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence, police said.
As soon as it came to the notice of the locals, they informed about the incident to the Vani police station. A police team rushed to the spot and then sent the body to Vani Rural Hospital for autopsy.
After the autopsy, the body was handed over to relatives. The Vani police have registered a case of accidental death in this regard. Police are conducting further investigation to ascertain the reason behind suicide, sources added..
