Industry extends support to MP Godse

NASHIK: Newly elected Member of Parliament Hement Godse who created history after getting re-elected for consecutive second term, on Saturday gathered support from traders and industrialists from Nashik for a ministerial berth in union cabinet.

With a strength of 18 MPs, Shiv Sena has now become second largest party in rank among the NDA constituents. Political pundits say that Sena may get two cabinet and state ministerial berths during the government formation for the 17th Lok Sabha.

The chances of MP Godse who is seeking cabinet berth have brightened following defeat of Sena stalwarts Anandrao Adsul, Chandrakant Khaire, Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil and Anant Gite who were among the strong contenders for union ministerial berth.

The name of MP Godse, who got re-elected for consecutive second term, is on the forefront as Nashik has never got representation in the ministerial berth at Centre. During MP Godse’s first tenure, he successfully completed projects for Nashik including Railway wheel factory, Shilapur testing lab, Nashik-Kasara railway besides putting his efforts to commence Nashik-Delhi air connectivity.
