Those who were in jail need not teach us: CM Fadnavis

NASHIK: Campaigning for BJP-Shiv Sena alliance candidates from Nashik, Dindori and Dhule Lok Sabha constituencies, at Pimpalgaon Baswant here, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday launched a scathing attack on rival NCP-Congress alliance stating that “some senior leaders of NCP are baselessly criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA alliance partners as if these leaders (NCP) went to jail as freedom fighters.

However, they must realise and accept reality that they were in prison for their misdeeds and corruption. Now, the opposition must understand that corrupt people’s real place is in jail.

Hence they need not teach us, thus quipped Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis without naming any leader from the opposition and with an apparant reference to former dy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal.

With over a lakh people at the rally, CM Fadnavis without directly mentioning Bhujbal’s name said, “People know very well who robbed the state’s exchequer and public fund. Time has changed. Henceforth, this will not be tolerated,” he warned.

Fadnavis even did not spare NCP strongman Sharad Pawar accusing that Modi wave has forced Mr Pawar to withdraw from the fray as morale of the opposition has drastically downed. Now a days, Pawar is talking vague and his flip flop on several issues is proving that his subconscious mind is not working.

“The BJP is fighting such opponents in Nashik, Dindori and Dhule (Lok Sabha constituencies) whose captain has refused to play at the very beginning,” he said. “The NCP captain stepped in the field.

He wore helmet, pads and gloves with an assurance of hitting a century. However, he suddenly returned back to the pavilion and preferred to be a twelfth man when PM Modi threw a googly at him.” Fadnavis taunted.

He hailed a number of developmental works implemented in the state under PM Modi’s regime. The chief minister mentioned Nar-Par project and the interlinking of rivers by giving a credit of it to water resources minister Girish Mahajan.

“The district will flourish from all corners as it is sure to get water through as many as 17 dams due to the Nar-Par project. For the purpose, Modi has made available a fund to the tune of Rs 10,800 crore.”

Lamenting on the devisive politics being played by Congress and NCP Fadnavis alleged that these people are playing politics of casteism. He categorically rejected accusations by the opposition on concessions to tribals.

“We would not in any condition remove concessions given to tribals,” he assured. “PM Modi has carried out Balakot air strike and gave message of, if necessary, we will even enter the homes of its enemies,” Fadnavis said appealing to people to seize deposits of these pro-Pakistani leaders and vote for the Sena-BJP to re-elect PM Modi as prime minister again.
