Nashik: Only teachers can bring forward students from lower rung in rural area. Taking this into account, teacher should impart education considering students as their own children, urged president of Zilla Parishad Shital Sangle.

The education (primary) department of Zilla Parishad presented ideal teacher awards for 2017 and 2018 at Parshuram Saykhedkar auditorium on Wednesday. She was speaking at that time. Chairperson of education and health committee Yatindra Pagar presided over the presentation programme.

Vice president Nayana Gavit, chairperson Manisha Pawar, Aparna Khoskar, Sunita Charoskar and chief executive officer Dr. Naresh Gite were present as chief guests. Sangle further said that teacher is an important component in daily life. He is encouraging the students.

Like local body teachers are working for lower rung of the people. Work by education and health department has not seen in actual form, but both these departments do biggest work. Work by teachers is ideal. If teachers decide they can bring any student from any field forward. Considering this teachers should implement other projects along with teaching, she urged.

Chief executive officer Dr. Gite stated, “We did well in eradication of malnourishment in Nashik district. Nashik is also ahead in implementation of Asmita Yojana and Swachh Survekshan.

We have now to improve quality of education and it should begin from Teachers Day today.” Teachers should show their inner skill. They should not show education, percentage and marks to students only, but also teach other things. Teachers should create meritorious students and good human being, he urged.

In his presidential speech chairperson Pagar said that awardees have been selected seeing their qualitative work. There was no lobbying. Teachers should show their inner qualities along with imparting the education. The school run by Zilla Parishad in Nashik district received ISO certification first in entire state.

Comparing to private schools, percentage of students in Zilla Parishad schools is low. Some teachers are doing their work honestly in such situation. This is ideal. Zilla Parishad teachers implemented various projects and have kept an ideal before other teachers. Other teachers should follow it, he urged.
