Swine flu claims one in district


Nashik : Swine flu has reared its head again in the district. After a gap of one month, it has claimed one patient. This is the 36th victim, whereas three patients are being treated in the district hospital. The name of the victim is Kailas Ganpat Takalkar (36, resident of Niphad).

Two patients showing symptoms like swine flu were admitted in the district hospital around July 10. Out of them, 36-year-old Takalkar succumbed to the disease while undergoing treatment on Saturday. He was found positive for the disease.

So far, 168 patients have been found positive for the disease in the current year. Highest number of patients from Nashik city and rural areas, mainly Niphad, Sinnar, Baglan, Chandwad and Dindori talukas have succumbed to the disease.
