Students stranded in Delhi return home
NASHIK:
A special train bringing those students which stranded in Delhi arrived at Nashik Road railway station around 7.30 pm on Sunday. They were in Delhi for preparation of UPSC examination.
A total of 126 students from Nashik, Ahmednagar and Beed districts deborded the train here. Students from Deola, Igatpuri, Kalvan, Malegaon, Satana, Niphad, Yeola and Sinnar tehsils were among them.
As students were stranded in Delhi due to lockdown, their parents demanded government to bring them back. A special train from Delhi has been released for these students. There were total 1435 students in it, including 350 from Mumbai, 178 from Thane, 121 from Nagpur and 111 from Gondiya.
NMC medical officer Dr Jitendra Dhaneshwar, Dr Kanchan Lokwani, Dr Manisha Chavan and Vibhavari Shihorikar conducted medical screening these students.
