Nashik: The General Body Meeting (GBM) of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) started with a bang. The issue of pending installation of the T55 tank at Lekha Nagar was highlighted by Shiv Sena corporator Praveen Tidame.
The corporator wore a digital flex cutout to grab the attention of the house. Thereafter, while demanding to install tank at other place, she gave the reasons behind this. After discussions, the Mayor stated, “I will visit the spot on Saturday and to solve the issue after discussions with all corportors.”
The corporator raised the question of the installation of T55 tank at Lekha Nagar Chowk near Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue. The process has been approved by standing committee; the defence ministry has also given approval for the same.
The departmental permissions have also been granted. Though the project has all the approval why the installation is delayed?, asked the corporator. NMC city engineer Sanjay Ghuge said that the permissions have been granted by all the departments and it will be installed soon. The Corporation has sought police security for installation of the tank.
The police department has not given a written permission for approval of the security. As soon as the police security will be available, the tank will be installed, said Ghuge.
