Shramik Express train departs to UP

NASHIK :

Special train Shramik Express of Central Railway departed from Nashik to Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) on Thursday around 4 pm carrying 1032 migrants on board.

Of the total 1032 migrant workers and labourers who boarded the train, 365 were from Bhusaval, 155 from Jalgaon and 210 from Nandurbar district.

The migrant workers and labourers who boarded on the train were stranded Nashik, Sinnar, Kalvan, Satana and Trimbakeshwar tehsils of the district due to ongoing nationwide lockdown. A proper medical screening and other formalities of the migrants were carried out before they boarded on the train.

This was the seventh train which was departed from Nashik. Railway station master R K Kuthar, senior inspector (commerce) Kundan Mahapatra, senior inspector of railway protection force N V Guhilot and inspector Ashok Jadhav and representatives of district and municipal corporation were present on the occasion.
