Sena leader disagrees to branding of Raj Thackeray as new ‘Hindu Hridaysamrat’

MUMBAI :

The proclamation of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray as the the ‘new Hindu Hridaysamrat’ by a party functionary on Thursday led the person into trouble after a Shiv Sena leader raised objection over the same.

Thane MNS President Avinash Jadhav made this remark during the party’s state convention, which kickstarted at the NSE Grounds in sub-urban Goregaon, here.

According to senior Sena leader Anil Parab, Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray was usually referred to as the ‘Hindu Hridaysamrat’ (Emperor of Hindu Hearts) within the party and outside.

Reacting curtly to the remark, Parab said, “Only, late Balasaheb Thackeray is the ‘Hindu Hridaysamrat’, and nobody else can claim his illustrious legacy.”
