Scrapping of Article 370, 35A historic, good for J & K and the entire nation
NASHIK: In a historic move, the government on Monday abolished Article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir and moved a separate bill to bifurcate the state into two separate union territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. Major opposition parties have expressed resentment towards scrapping of Article 35A, which provides special rights to J&K. Deshdoot Times talked to some citizens from different strata of the society and tried to understand their views over this 70-year old contentious clause which was in force in J&K.
The decision is very good. Now in a real sense Kashmir and Ladakh have become an integral part of India. Despite opposition from some major political parties, government has taken this historic move. However, some political parties and Jammu and Kashmir are opposing it. The fund by central government will now reach the common people. The decision will reduce midadventures in Kashmir. The people of Kashmir have widely welcomed the decision.

The decision regarding scrapping of the Article 370 taken by the Government of India is very good. It just needs to be properly and effectively implemented. The question is whether this decision will survive the test of law. This is a good decision for a united India. Getting international support is also important.

The decision taken by the government regarding Kashmir is historic. Due to this, new era will begin in Kashmir. After this Kashmir will lead to speedy development. Citizens of Kashmir will find themselves safe. The activities of trespassing and ceasefire will be controlled by the central government. It will also give a major boost to tourism of Kashmir.

This is a very good decision to reduce attacks on our brave soldiers and restore democracy in Kashmir in true sense. After this decision, there is only one citizenship all over the country. It will also help create a positive atmosphere in Kashmir. For many years this issue has been underrated. But now it is on the right direction. This decision will also help in development of Jammu and Kashmir. The state will achieve progress.
