Satpur police station to be renovated


Satpur : Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal and MLA Seema Hiray inspected Satpur police station and held discussions over construction of state-of-the-art building of the police station.

MLA Seema Hiray had tabled two proposals regarding renovation of Satpur police station building and division of Ambad police station to the Chief Minister. On the backdrop of this, the Chief Minister while instructing to prepare the proposal for this and to give review about the things expected in new building.

On the backdrop of this, MLA Hiray and the Police Commissioner inspected Satpur police station area. Satpur prabhag committee chairperson Madhuri Bolkar, ctiy vice president Mahesh Hiray, junior engineer of public works department Kiran Pawar and Pendhele were present.

While reviewing the current building, MLA Seema Hiray informed that concerned building was inaugurated on November 1, 1974 and there is a need to renovate it. Considering capacity of police force and rising crime, a demand has been made for new building. The Chief Minister approved the proposal, she informed and expressed her aim to construct new state-of-the-art building in the place of old building.

Divisional prabhag committee chairperson Madhuri Bolkar demanded to construct a police chowki on NMC space. The Police Commissioner assured to inspect the space soon and to prepare a proposal regarding this.
