Routes diverted due to Navratrotsav
The city traffic branch has diverted traffic on the route at Kalika temple and Renukadevi temple at Deolali Camp to prevent traffic congestion during Navratrotsav. Deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Pournima Chougule has issued a notification regarding this.
Navratrotsav will begin from Sunday, September 29 and fair is organised in the temple of goddess Kalika. Devotees arrive from the entire district to take darshan of the goddess. As the fair is also organised near Renukadevi temple, there is a rush of devotees. Considering the possibility of traffic congestion at both places, traffic police have diverted traffic on both routes. The changes will come into force from Sunday, September 29 and will remain in force till October 8.
Modak signal to Hotel Sandip route, Municipal Commissioner to groundwater survey office route, Chandak circle to hotel Sandip route and Mahamarg bus stand to hotel Sandip route have been closed for traffic from 5 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 12 am.
The vehicles on these routes will head to Nashik Road and Cidco from Dwarka circle via Khadkali signal. Vehicles coming from Mumbai Naka will come to the city via the route opposite Tupsakhre lawns, Hyundai showroom, Chandak circle and Bhavani circle, while heavy vehicles heading to Ambad and Satpur will proceed via Dwarka circle and Garware T-point.
The vehicles heading to Panchavati via Dwarka circle will head by Kanamwar bridge, Santosh T-point and Rasbihari school and vehicles coming from Sarda circle will head further via N D Patel Road, Kitkat chowk and Modak signal.
The changes have also been made in the traffic near Renuka Devi temple on rest Camp road. It has been decided to shut Chintamani Chowk to Naka number 2 on rest Camp road for traffic from 5 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 12 am. ST buses, auto-rickshaw and other vehicles heading to Deolali Camp from Bhagur village will turn right from Chintamani Chowk and will head further to army gate chowk, temple hill road, powerhouse T-point and via Shigve village route take a turn to left side at Barnes school and will proceed anywhere from Naka number 2 after taking left turn at Lahvit railway Y point.
