Recounting govt’s dev schemes, Amit Shah says Modi is uplifting tribals unlike Cong’s ‘use & throw’ policy
Bharatiya Janata Partry (BJP) president and Union home minister Amit Shah said the Congress party which ruled the nation for fifty-five years after independence made use of tribal people for “Vote bank” politics, whereas the BJP governments at the Centre and state brought developmental schemes for them.
He mentioned this at a campaign rally at Navapur in Nandurbar district Saturday where he was wooing voters for the BJP candidates MP Dr Heena Gavit, Nandurbar district, BJP president Vijay Chowdhary and BJP Mahayuti candidate of Navapur constituency Bharat Gavit who too were present on the occasion.
Amit Shah further said a special program had been started by the central government led by prime minister Narendra Modi for development of the 115 underdeveloped districts in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is watching over this programme. The Nandurbar district has also been included in these 115 districts.
Therefore, Prime Minister Modi will be the Guardian of Nandurbar district and accelerate development works there.
Hailing the tribal people, Shah said, “Many tribals contributed significantly in the freedom struggle. However, the successive congress governments, which were in power all these years never took note of this but the Modi government has decided to raise memorials of these freedom fighters.”
About the Modi government’s recent decision of abrogation of article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Home Minister said,” The Narendra Modi-led government decided to repeal Article 370, considering the security of the country. It was disrupting the development of Kashmir and terrorism was brewing in the state. Congress had consistently ignored the demand to repeal the clause.
However, the Modi government, irrespective of repercussions, scrapped the Article 370 from the Constitution and dared to bring justice to the Kashmiri people. I would like to convey to the opponents who questioned the relation of the voiding of Article 370 and Maharashtra assembly election, that the valiant soldiers of Maharashtra have sacrificed their lives in Kashmir for the protection of the country’s borders.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has launched several schemes for the welfare of the poor. The decisions have benefited the poor tribal people of Nandurbar district. In Nandurbar district, 1.67 lakh free toilets have been constructed and more than two lakh farmers have taken benefits from the Kisan Samman Fund. As many as 26,000 houses have
