Ramshej battle is a great inspiration, says Dr Shah


NASHIK : Ramshej battle was one of the longest fought battle by Marathas in Indian history for six long years. It’s a great inspiration for youths even today. Life is about accepting the challenges along the way, choosing to keep moving forward, and savoring the journey, thus expressed Prof Dr G B Shaha.

Shivkary Gadkot Sanstha dedicated for fort restoration work had organised a full-day workshop at Ramshej fort.  Ram Khurdal, founder of Shivkary organisation spoke about various fort conservation activities done in last few years. Prof Shaha was welcomed by Prof Somnath Muthal, Commrade Raju Desale was welcomed by Dr Sandip Bhanose, Anand Thakur was welcomed by Krishnachandra Vispute, Manohar More Deshmukh was welcomed by Ram Khurdal.

Shivaji Gade, physically challenged forest conservist was welcomed by Ragendra Kulkarni. Event was compered by Yogesh Kapse. After flag hoisting, patriotic songs were sung by Sunil Pawar, Sanket Bhanose, Renu Bhanose, Om Ghule.

93-yr-old Baba Hudlikar, a veteran freedom fighter spoke about importance of self respect. Anand Thakur and his team made a excellent presentation of various swords/ spears and other weapons. Sanket Newkar performed one-act play on “Thus spoke fort”.

Dattu Bodke, Kishor Yelmane, Anil Bhadange, Seema Shimpi, Sagar Bodke, Manas Shinde, Harshal Pawar, Sri Bhandari and many fort lovers attended the function.  Dr Ajay Kapadnis expressed vote of thanks in the end.
