Procession organised in city to mark Mahesh Navami


Nashik: Maheshwar Balaji temple trust organised a huge procession in the city to mark Mahesh Navami. The area was reverberated with slogan of Jai Mahesh. Six newly married couples worshipped lord Mahesh at Ravivar Karanja in the morning. The procession began after grand prayer and distribution of prasad. Idol and image of lord Shiva was kept in a chariot. Women, youths and senior citizens took part in the procession.

The procession passed through Dhumal Point, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Meher signal and via Ashok Stambh was culminated at Indraprastha hall on Gangapur Road.

A felicitation programme took place thereafter at Indraprastha hall. Trainer Anil Rathi was present as chief guest. Vedant Umesh Mundada who stood first in HSC examination and his family members lighted the traditional lamp to inaugurate the programme.

Students of Maheshwari community who got more than 80% marks in SSC, HSC, degree and other examinations were felicitated. Citizens who got elected on various organisations were also felicitated.

Former Principal of Nagpur college Rakesh Bhaiyya stated that young generation is involving more into computer and mobile. As future of the country is in their hands, they will be guided from home and create cultured generation, he urged.

President of Maheshwari Balaji temple trust Jayprakash Jategaonkar made the introductory speech. Secretary Kishore Jajoo welcomed the guests. Vinod Jajoo and Shantilal Ladhha compered the programme. Santosh Jajoo introduced the guests, whereas Rameshwar Soni proposed the vote of thanks.
