Meteorologists have predicted that pre-monsoon showers will be witnessed in the entire state including Nashik district this week beginning today. “The state including the Nashik district will experience pre-monsoon showers f

On Sunday (May 10) it was seen in the city and parts of the district. The pre-monsoon arrived with thunderstorms in the city as well as across the district. The next five days will be cloudy and rainy, according to the weather expert.
Although the arrival of the monsoon is a month away, the pre-monsoon rains have however made an appearance in the state including the district. For the next five days, there will be scattered light to moderate rainfall across the state with thunderstorms.
In Vidarbha and Marathwada, showers accompanied with pea-shaped hails predicted. While North Maharashtra, South and Western Maharashtra will receive showers with strong winds. The farmers have been advised to take care of their crops. “Harvested crops taken out of the field should be stored in a safe place, farmers advised.
The rains usually start in June. Recently the pattern of monsoon has changed. The arrival of the rains was predicted in July. However, pre-monsoon rains make their presence felt every time in the month of May. This is on expected lines. There is no reason to panic, meteorologists said.
There will be scattered pre-monsoon rainfall in entire Maharashtra including Nashik district, with thunderstorms and light to moderate showers. In Vidarbha and Marathwada, showers with peanuts-shaped hailstones has been predicted.
