Pre-monsoon rains likely this week : Johre

In the current week beginning today, pre-monsoon rains likely to lash Maharashtra in a scattered manner predicted meteorologist Kirankumar Johre.

He also appealed to the farmers not to leave their crops and grains in the open and store them in safe places at higher altitudes as the corona outbreak across the world has created food shortage against higher demand.

Light to moderate scattered rainfall is likely to occur at mainly in Vidarbha, North Maharashtra, Marathwada, West and South Maharashtra.

The temperature in Maharashtra has reached 43 degrees Celsius and the weather is unstable, he alerted. The meteorologist also predicted hailstones with thunderstorms at many places in the state during this week period.
