Police nab one for possession of 3 country made revolvers


Nashik: Acting on a tip-off, the squad of crime branch unit II laid a trap and nabbed one from ITI bridge area in Satpur. Two country made revolvers, 1 pistol, live cartridges and a two-wheeler, amounting to total Rs. 86,800 were seized from him.

The name of the suspect is Niraj Satendra Singh (28, resident of Gautamnagar, Satpur). Crime branch squad member Balasaheb Nande got specific input that one person will be coming at ITI bridge for selling country made revolvers. Under guidance of DCP Vijaykumar Magar and ACP Ashok Nakhate, police inspector Nilesh Mainkar, assistant police inspector Sanjay Tandulwadkar, Gangadhar Devde, PSI Ravindra Sahare, havildar Ramesh Ghadwaje, Shriram Sapkal and others laid the trap in the area.

A youth was arrived in Mutha hospital area, ITI bridge around 3.30 pm on Friday on Activa (MH 15 EV 8084). After police found his movements suspicious, the squad nabbed him and checked his Activa. They found two country made revolvers, one pistol and eight live cartridges in dickey. A case in connection with this has been registered at Satpur police station.
