Police detain 29 suspects from district court campus
Nashik: All senior police officials of police stations falling under circle I and personnel of crime branch conducted a combing operation in district court campus on Thursday to trace and take action against those moving there purposelessly, suspects who are threatening complainants and witnesses, hardened criminals and their accomplices.
Police probed those moving suspiciously and detained 29 suspects during this combing operation. Earlier, 60 suspects were taken into custody in a similar combing operation on Wednesday last.
Some hardened criminals and suspects regarding bailable and non-bailable warrant were also taken into custody. The action against these suspects was taken under the Maharashtra Police Act.
The combing operation was conducted under the guidance of city Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Laxmikant Patil and Assistant Commissioner of Police Bapu Bangar.
