Police arrest two for house break-ins


Nashik : The Mhasrul police arrested two thieves for their involvement in house break-ins in the city. Jewelleries worth Rs. 1.20 lakh and other goods have been seized from them. Police also succeeded in busting three other crimes. A two-wheeler has also been recovered from the minors.

The names of the suspects are Tulsiram Ramdas Page (24, resident of Vaishalinagar, Peth Road, Panchavati) and Prashant alias Papoo Gopal Sardesai (29, resident of row house no. 1, Gayatri Nagar, near Rajmata mangal karyalaya, MERI-Rasbihari link road, Panchavati, Nashik).

Assistant police inspector of Mhasrul police station Raghunath Shegar, assistant PSI Sanjay Pawar, police havildars Yevaji Mahale, Sandip Bhand, police naik Uttam Pawar, Somnath Shardul, Prashant Walzade, Temgar, Darade and Rokade received a specific input about this. Accordingly, the crime detection squad laid a trap and arrested both of them. During interrogation, they admitted of thefts at various places.

The squad took two more minors into their custody and during interrogation they admitted that they stole a two-wheeler. Police recovered Yamaha FZ (MH 15 FC 2835) from them. They both are hardened criminals. The squad took action under guidance of Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, DCP (circle I) Laxmikant Patil, ACP (circle I) Vijay Chavan and senior police inspector of Mhasrul police station Subhashchandra Deshmukh.
