Pandemic tally in district surges to 371; 12 fresh cases reported

NASHIK :

The number of coronavirus patients is rising rapidly in Nashik district. Patients are increasing at rapid space in sealed Malegaon city. Twelve fresh cases were reported on Monday, including 10 cases from Malegaon.

The pandemic tally in Malegaon city has surged to 331, while total number of patients in the district has increased to 371. As eight police and single doctor are among those twelve cases which were reported on Monday, worry is being expressed.

A total of 78 test reports were received on Monday. Sixty-nine reports were received negative, while 12 were received positive.

Three police personnel are from Malegaon police headquarter, one each from Himmatnagar, Azadnagar and Ayeshanagar police stations each and two CRPF jawans from Amravati are among the positive cases. Three persons are from outside.

On the other hand, 25 patients got cured and were discharged. The total number of patients in the district has risen to 371 on Monday, including 17 in Nashik municipal area, 17 from rural area and six from outside districts.

In the meantime, a total of 19,940 people were screened so far. A total of 3386 swabs were sent for testing so far. Of them, 2541 were received negative, while 371 were received negative. 334 suspects are undergoing treatment, while 474 reports are still pending. 12 deaths have taken place and 25 got cured of COVID-19, including 20 from Malegaon, three from Nashik and two from rural area.
