No drones, choppers in city, citing PM rally
Nashik: The police administration has issued a notice about flying of drones, helicopters and paragliding activity in the city. The administration has issued a notice that no flying of any drone or chopper will be allowed till September 20th. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally on September 19 to conclude Mahajanadesh Yatra by Bharatiya Janata Party.
Chief Minister Devendra Phadnavis is going to hold roadshow on September 18. Motorcycle rally will also be organised as Mahajanadesh Yatra will arrive in the city on the day. Deputy commissioner of police (crime) Laxmikant Patil issued orders regarding this recently.
The administration has said that the decision has been taken sighting the issue of safety and security of both the heads.
The drone, choppers, hot air balloons, microlight aircraft, hang gliders, paramotors and paragliders can and may raise the issue of safety for both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister and VIP persons. Considering the arrival of lakhs of activists for these, city police have planned tight security. The administration as well as the party in power, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started preparations for the visit of Prime Minister, prominently.
The BJP spoke person has already said that around 2 lakh people are going to participate in the rally and around 15,000 vehicles are expected to come in the city on the occasion. The meeting of BJP top officials in the district was held recently took a review of the preparations. The administration is also preparing at its level.
If any person, organization or government office has to make shooting through drone in this period, they have to take prior permission from the police station in their area. If anyone is found flying drone or other means, the action will be taken against concerned under section 188.
