NMC officials, employees restless after the death of Narsinge
The divisional officer-in-charge of west division and deputy engineer water supply department, Nashik west division Anil Narsinge (45) died recently following an heart attack. Discussions are rife in NMC circle that he died due to excessive workload. Officials and employees are restless due to this.
On the backdrop of this, NMC standing committee chairperson Uddhav Nimse has in a letter to the deputy municipal commissioner (administration) demanded that do not give charge of divisional officer post to officials belonging to technical grade.
Narsinge had joined as a junior engineer in NMC in 1999. Thereafter he had received the promotion as deputy engineer in 2010. Though he had the responsibility of water supply of Nashik west division, the Municipal Commissioner had some months ago had handed over responsibility of west divisional officer. Narsinge was handling encroachment, issue of dangerous wadas and other issues in Nashik west division.
Of the total sanctioned posts in Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), over 2,000 posts are vacant. As a result many officials have responsibility of more than a single post. Over this reason, official in town planning department Patil had disappeared after writing a note. Narsinge is survived by his wife, his son and daughter, father, brother and two sisters.
Conduct direct recruitment process: Nimse
At present posts of engineers in various departments, doctor and over 2,000 are vacant in other departments. In addition, many officials and employees have been retired. Do not give additional workload on available officials and employees, conduct a direct recruitment process to fill up vacant posts earlier, demanded standing committee Uddhav Nimse to the administration.
