NCP stages agitation against rise in petrol, diesel prices

Nashik : The women wing of Nationalist Congress Party organised a march to protest rise in petrol and diesel prices. The office bearers and activists pushed two-wheelers to the district collectorate. The agitation was led by district chief of the women wing Prerna Balkavade.

Inflation has increased following rise in petrol and diesel prices. People are suffering due to this. Modi government which is showing ‘acche din’ to the people has cheated them. Women office bearers and activists pushed the two-wheelers to protest this. A memorandum was given to Resident and Deputy District Collector Ramdas Khedkar. There is discount for students on petrol and diesel at abroad. Provide this facility in India too, it was demanded.

Though crude oil prices are declined in international market, petrol and diesel prices are rising in the country. Government should inform the people that who will see good days after rise in petrol and diesel prices, challenged Balkavade.

Central and state governments should take note of this and take immediate decision, else NCP women wing will stage agitation in a democratic way, warned the agitators.

District chief of NCP Ravindra Pagar, Shobha Sabale, district chief of young girls wing Pratiksha Billade, student wing president Deepak Wagh, Prashant Bachhav and other activists were present.
