Navshya Ganpati temple, Pandit Nagar areas declared containment zones

Aspregant woman who is residing in Navshya Ganpati temple area in Gangapur Road and 35-year-old taxi driver from Pandit Nagar area in New Nashik have been tested positive on Thursday, Nashik Municipal Corporation have declared both areas as containment areas.
Taxi driver who is residing in Shani temple area in Pandit Nagar, New Nashik had admitted to the district civil hospital on May 11 after he suffered from cough and cold. A 32-year-old preganant woman from Navshya Ganpati temple area had admitted to nearby private hospital on Saturday (May 9). Doctors performed caesarean section to deliver a baby. At that time her swab samples had been collected. She has been tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
As a result, NMC has declared the areas in which both are residing as containment areas for 14 days. The hospital where woman was admitted has been declared as institutioinal quarantine. Doctors, nurses, other hospital employees and kin of the concerned woman who came in contact with her have also been quarantined in the same hospital.
In the meantime, with detection of two new positive cases in Nashik city, the total number of corona patients in the city has been increased to 42. With addition of two new containment zones, the city has 24 containment zones now.
Keeping the residence of these patients central, NMC has declared 3-km radius area as restricted zones. Residents in this area cannot go outside for the next 14 days and outside person cannot enter the area (barring essential services).
NMC health department has started to spray disinfectant in Navshya Ganpati area and Pandit Nagar area in New Nashik area. Police have installed barricades in these areas and have started to take a special precaution.
Teams of doctors and medical workers have been formed. They will take information from neighbourhoods who were visiting homes and patients. They will also take information about their health. Medical teams will visit door to door and take information about health of citizens there.
