12 luxury AC Shivneri buses were plying on daily basis on this route. They were completing 24 rounds a day, but as Shivshahi buses are now plying in their place, Shivneri buses will no more ply on this route, administrative sources of Nashik division made it clear. Currently, 14 Shivshahi buses have been ferrying passengers through 28-30 rounds a day.
MSRTC has also stopped plying semi-luxury Hirkani bus service on this route. Total 27 semi-luxury buses on this route have been stopped from plying. Passengers have option of Shivshahi buses only on this route. MSRTC administration is implementing various projects and schemes to generate revenue and to increase number of passengers.
While competing with private transporters, MSRTC has started state-of-the-art AC Shivneri buses. As fair of Shivshahi buses is less than Shivneri buses, there is possibility of good response by passengers to Shivshahi buses. Considering this MSRTC has decided to stop plying Shivneri buses.
