Nashik: A mock drill was conducted at the district collectorate premises on Tuesday. Five terrorists entered the collectorate premises around 11 am and held three employees hostage. After getting information about this, the Resident Deputy District Collector immediately contacted various mechanisms through voice call and informed about this.
The Anti Terrorist Squad, rapid action force officials and commandoes reached there and started a rescue work. They killed two terrorists within an hour and took three terrorists into their custody. All three hostage were rescued safely. Thereafter Bomb Detection Squad searched for the bomb with help of dog squad. They took the bomb to a safer place and disposed it there. Fire brigade personnel doused the fire of the district collectorate building.
This mock drill was conducted under guidance of District Collector Radhakrishnan B, Resident and Deputy District Collector Ramdas Khedkar, Civil Defence Force’s Deshmukh, BDS’ Amrut Patil, police inspector Balkrishna Shejwal, Neelkanth Dusane, disaster management officer Prashant Waghmare, Mohan Kulkarni and D K Gorde handled the situation very skillfully.
11 personnel of BDS, police inspector of ATS M G Sabale, G F Ingale, police inspector of Nashik police rapid action force Tukaram Nalawade and 40 commandoes, fire brigade officials and personnel took part in the mock drill.
