Mercury rises to 14.6; light rains likely
NASHIK: For the last two days, the temperature level has been on the rise in central and rest of Maharashtra including Nashik.
“Due to cloudy weather conditions and rise in temperature, parts of central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha likely to witness winter showers in the next three days,” forecast IMD, Pune.
The farmers in the district which are already facing onion crisis, are now in a worry of protecting their grapevine yards due to a sudden rise in temperature levels from 11.2 degrees Celsius to 14.6 degrees in the last few days as the rise hints at untimely rains which may hit their grapes crop.
“An untimely scattered rains likely in several parts of Maharashtra including central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha between Thursday (today) and Sunday (Dec 9),” sources from IMD Pune said.
