Mayor, officials inspect ‘Eidgah’ ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr


Old Nashik: With just a day left to celebrate Eid as the fasting month of Ramadan is coming to an end on Monday (June 26), mayor Ranjana Bhansi, corporators and officials of concerned departments paid a visit to Eidgah ground here to inspect and review preparedness as thousands of Muslim brothers are expected to converge at the ground here tomorrow to offer Eid namaz.

The mayor and concerned civic authorities on the occasion issued notices to the encroachers on the grounds to remove the encroachments and instructed to deploy a security guard on permanent basis.

They also reviewed and instructed the authorities to maintain cleanliness at the grounds and ensure adequate facilities and amenities including provision of water.

Mayor Bhansi was accompanied by dy mayor Prathamesh Gite, standing committee chairperson Shivaji Gangurde, chairperson (East) Shaheen Mirza, chairperson (West) Hemlata Patil, corporators Mushir Sayyad, Saleem Shaikh, Dinkar Patil apart from Samina Memon, Vilas Shinde, Sambhaji Moruskar, Disha Londhe, city engineer U B Pawar, Nitin Ner and health official Sunil Bukane among others.
