Maharashtra Career Guidance Portal launched

What to do next during the holidays due to lockdown? Students are stuck at home trying out various things where career options are available. Also, which entrance examinations are currently underway or will be held? It is difficult to know which examinations have been postponed. As a solution to this, Maharashtra Career Guidance Portal has been launched for the students of Class IX to XII in collaboration with the State Department of Education, UNICEF and the State Council for Educational Research and Training.

The portal, inaugurated by Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, will be open to students from May 27. Useful information of modern courses will be available at a single click in one place while students are choosing a career on this great career portal which opens with a simple student ID. Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad informed that 66 lakh students from class IX to XII will be able to use it. Dinkar Patil, Director, MSCRT, said that 556 national and international level courses and 21000 professional institutes and colleges have been given information on this portal.

UNICEF has so far helped launch career portals in seven states of the country namely Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and so far 1 million students are registered on it. Around 59,559 teachers have been trained for this.
