MALEGAO :

Even if I have tested positive for Covid-19, I don’t feel any discomfort. I personally believe, and I’m sure that I will free myself and the city of Malegaon from coronavirus. We will not run away from this battlefield under any circumstances, vowed Malegaon municipal commissioner Trimbak Kasar while interacting with daily Deshdoot.

“I may have got infected during the course of my frequent visits to COVID-19 treatment centers for inspection of facilities, during the course of conducting awareness drives at public places or while conducting regular health check up for persons with corona-like symptoms. I cannot rule out that these may be the reasons and possibilities of my testing positive for Covid-19,” he said.

Despite being home quarantined, my work is going on as usual– talking to the authorities in the morning, instructing them to ensure proper facilities at COVID-19 treatment centres.

Also taking reviews of maintenance of hygiene as well as regular disinfectant spraying. I have also instructed authorities to expedite the work with a view to making oxygen and ventilator facilities available in the intensive care units and Covid-19 isolation wards as soon as possible. All are doing their job honestly. Therefore, I’m satisfied with the good team work,” said civic chief Kasar.

Although positive, there seems to be no reason to be panic as there are no symptoms or feeling of discomfort in the body. “In order to check whether I am getting tired, feeling fatigue or facing breathing problem, I wake up at 6 am in the morning and did 50 Surya Namaskar, yoga and other exercises. But that experimental exercise did not tired me or created any kind of breathing difficulties,” he stated.

The civic chief exuded confidence that with proper therapy and exercise, he would be free from Coronavirus. He assured the the citizens of Malegaon that he would not rest until corona outbreak is controlled in Malegaon.

Officers appointed at 12 Covid-19 centers

Corona-infected and suspected patients are being treated at 12 Covid-19 care centers across the city. We have also appointed twelve technical level officers to look after facilities at these centers as well as to find solution over the technical issues, Kasar added.
