Nashik : The public hearing over environment related objections regarding proposed works in Ahmednagar, Nashik and Thane districts on Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi expressway will be conducted on January 6. Farmers from concerned talukas, organisations working for environment and residents who will be affected by the project should send their objections within 30 days, urged the deputy regional officials of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.
The land acquisition work for the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi expressway has gathered momentum. Considering possibility of environment related objections, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has taken this decision. The public hearing over the objections regarding proposed work during 78-km expressway from Taranganpada in Igatpuri taluka to Amne in Bhiwandi taluka will be conducted on January 6, 2018 in R G Chandak Maheshwari mangal karyalaya in Igatpuri taluka at 3 pm, while hearing over objections related to the work from Dhotre in Igatpuri taluka to Pimpri Saddrodin in Igatpuri taluka will be held on same day at 11 am in Sinnar’s Laxman lawns, Bhagwati mangal karyalaya.
The documents containing information about this project, documents related to environment, brief report in Marathi and English are available at district collectorate, chief executive officer, Zilla Parishad, chief general manager, district industries centre, Igatpuri tehsil office and regional offices of Pollution Control Board.
If there are any environment related suggestions about the project, they should be conveyed to Pollution Control Board’s office near ITI in writing, urged the department officials.
