Grade of universities to be improved

Nashik: On the lines of action in Karnataka state to enhance the grade of universities, a committee has been formed under the Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University to improve the grade of universities in the state. This committee will appoint a professional agency for this work.

The state government recently decided to improve the grade of high education and educational institutes in the state. In a meeting held to review issues related to high education and work performance by universities, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis issued instructions regarding this.

It has been decided to rope in a private agency to improve the grade of universities and colleges in the state. This agency will work as a rating agency in assisting university and to achieve a high grade. For this, the government formed a committee of five members under the Vice Chancellor.

This committee will select 13 universities and around 100 colleges in the state. It will float a tender process to appoint the private agency and the government has fixed the term of five years of the committee to complete this process. It will table its report to the government every three months.

As the government is making efforts to improve the grade of universities and colleges in the state, it will surely help in improving the grade of high education and educational institutes.
