Girl tested negative: Three coronavirus suspects admitted to district civil hospital
Nashik: Three, including a couple and an elderly woman have been admitted in an isolation ward in the district civil hospital on Wednesday after they complained of cold and cough. They were returned from Dubai to Nashik some days ago. All the three returned to Nashik on March 3. Their swabs have been sent for testing to a National Institute of Virology in Pune. Their report will be received today, sources informed.
After receiving their report, they will be taken to Adgaon college hospital for further treatment as per their demand. NMC medical team will monitor them. Meanwhile, a 23-year-old woman and her 54-year-old mother were admitted in an isolation ward in the district civil hospital ion Tuesday for suspected exposure to novel coronavirus.
The girl had gone to Dubai on February 27 and returned to Nashik on March 3 and was quarantined after she complained of throat pain, cold and cough, while her mother was admitted as the two were together at home over the past one week.
Their report has been received on Wednesday evening and the girl was tested negative. As a result, there is no danger to her mother, informed additional district civil surgeon Dr Nikhil Saindane.
27 suspects tested
Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus suspects who were admitted to the district civil hospital has been reached 27. Of them, samples of 8 suspects were tested at National Institute of Virology in Pune and they were tested negative. Citizens should not panic and take proper caution of their health, appealed medical officials.
