‘Fight is on till settlement of demands’


Nashik Road : The Maharashtra state transport workers union, representing MSRTC workers has warned of agitation to press for implementation of 7th Pay Commission, give uniform stitching charges and other demands. Agitation will be staged opposite divisional offices and central workshop on July 20 to press for the demands, stated general secretary of the union Hanumant Tate. Representatives of unions decided to fight until settlement of the demands.

The regional convention of the union was held at Icchamani mangal karyalaya at Upnagar on Nashik-Pune highway. Workers from Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Ahmednagar were present. Regional secretary Swapnil Gadkari, divisional chief Vijay Gadkari, representative of women Sheela Naikwade, state president Sandip Shinde, Ahmednagar division secretary D G Akolkar, secretary of Dhule Rajesh Waghile, Kailas Tupe, Majid Shaikh and representatives of workers were present on dais.

Cancel one sided circular by transport ministry, provide uniform stitching allowance of last three years, approve employees to be required in future, scrap out of rule additional working hours of drivers and conductors, cancel releases which were issued breaching rules, remove injustice against workers after change in driver-cum-conductor, supply chassis for building new buses and start long distance buses considering private transport, demands the release by the union.
