Fake video of tunnel collapsing goes viral in name of ‘Samruddhi’
Video of Manali- Chandigarh highway is being shared on social media
On Thursday a video of tunnel collapsing got viral on several social media platforms in Nashik. The video shows that the construction workers are taking a video of the tunnel collapsing in front of their eyes. After that, the workers find it dangerous and start running for their life. The screaming can be heard in video ‘bhaago’ or run away or run for your life.
The video got viral in name of Samruddhi Expressway. The text with the video says that the video has been filmed at Igatpuri, Nandgaon-Phangulgaon where currently the work of Samruddhi Expressway is underway. The video was shared by many groups but no confirmation was there as it was a forwarded video.
Deshdoot Times found out that the video is fake. The incident in the video took place in Kullu, district of Himachal Pradesh. The video was shot by construction workers, working at the Chandigarh-Manali highway site. Several media platforms also reported about the said video of Himachal Pradesh.
Local sources at Igatpuri told Deshdoot Times that the work of Samruddhi has been stopped from last 14 days and no activity or such incident has been reported at the construction site. The original video is about 1:29 minutes long, while the viral video is only about 29 seconds. Someone has cropped the video and only part of it has been shared.
