Eco-friendly sky lanterns are needed: Wavre


Deolali Camp : Taking into account importance of Diwali festival, it is needed to prepare eco-friendly sky lanterns. For this there is a need to provide guidance to students through workshop, stated director of Dutt Petroleum Bapu Wavre. This project is conducted in Nutan Vidyamandir since last four years. Wavre provided his guidance at a workshop organised for students of std VI to X on the subject ‘eco-friendly sky lantern’.

Headmistress L H Joshi, deputy headmaster S R Vaidya and Krishna Lokhande were present. Around 250 students participated in the workshop and prepared attractive sky lanterns. A ball pen set was gifted to them.

In his introductory speech, Gaikwad stated that one should be aware about degradation of environment and pollution while celebrating festival of diwali. Vishal Shirsath compered the programme, while Nilesh Gosavi proposed the vote of thanks.
