On the backdrop of this, Deshdoot Times speaks to Vaidya Vikrant Jadhav, a well-known Ayurvedic practitioner to know the benefits of eating dry fruits in the summer.
He informed that to eat a date during the summer is good for health.
It maintains the water level in our body. It gives immediate energy. Seedless date, sugar-free date, and Alabu are also good. They are used during preparations of various types of sweet dishes.
The date has good nutritional values. In addition, it has vitamins, proteins, minerals, and natural sugar and it is providing relief from constipation and anemia. If black raisins given to children, they help in maintaining energy and enthusiasm among them.
Raisins are made from dehydrated grapes and are used in both sweet and savory food dishes. They are good for health and have reduced acidity and help in proper digestion.
It is good to eat some almonds this season. Almond has high in sugar, anti-oxidants and zeroes cholesterol.
They are providing relief from constipation, respiratory issues, and heart disorders.
People have some misconceptions about saffron. Eating a small amount of saffron in summer is good for the skin. Saffron helps in reducing tanning and maintaining the skin tone.
Walnut is good for the children, pregnant women and elders. It has vital Omega-3 fatty acids, dietary fibers, proteins, anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Vaidya Vikrant Jadhav also said that some dry fruits are not good for the health. As our digestive system is weak during the summer, avoid eating dry fruits like cashew, pistachio, and sweet fruit.
They are heavy to digest. Don’t eat dry fruits with milk and don’t drink water after eating the dry fruits, he cautioned.
