Nashik : The traffic department of the city police commissionerate has started preparations to operationalise e-challan system to discipline traffic in the city. Training of traffic police personnel about this has been completed and this system will be operationalised soon.
Action will be taken online against those vehicle drivers found breaching traffic rules, informed DCP Laxmikant Patil. Many facts related to traffic are included in this system. Spartan IT Solution Company organised a training session from May 15 to start e-challan system. All officials and personnel from city traffic branch were given training of e-challan system.
Take action online against those vehicle drivers found branching traffic rules, to use picture of vehicle as evidence, to send information about deduction of fine through message of mobile of vehicle holder and online payment facility will be part of this system. A facility has been given in a smart phone to swipe the card. This system will come into force soon. Nashikites have to pay e-challan from June, informed credible sources.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Home (city) Ranjit Patil had taken note of the ‘No horn day’ being observed in the city on every Monday and he sent a greeting letter to the Police Commissioner. As Nashikites are responding well to ‘No horn day’, there is huge contribution in noise pollution control. Public awareness on large scale is being held through this, the letter mentions.
